What are cookies?
Below the definition contained in point 1 of the foreword to the Measure of the Warrantor abovementioned:
Preliminary considerations. Cookies are text strings of small sizes that the sites, visited by the user, send to his terminal (usually to the browser), where they are saved to then be re-transmitted to the same sites during the next visit of the same user.

Technical Cookies are those used only in order to “carry out the transmission of a communication on an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary to the service provider of the company of the information explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to deliver this service" (cf. art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code).
They are not used for further purposes and they are normally set up directly by the owner or manager of the web site.
They can be divided into browser or session cookies, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the web site (allowing, for example, to realise a purchase or authenticate to access to reserved areas); analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies when they are used directly by the manager of the site to gather information, in aggregated form, about the number of users and how they may visit the website itself; feature cookies, that allow the user to surf the net according to a number of selected criteria (for example, the language, the selected products for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered to the user.
For the installation of these cookies is not required the prior consent of the users, while remains the obligation to give the informative to the senses of the art. 13 of the Code, that the manager of the site will be able to provide with the procedures that he believes most appropriate.
